K D PALACE - Heritage Hotel On Fort

Right inside the fort, comfortable bed, good-sized room. Late night pickup from the train station and check-in went smoothly. All staff members were always available, friendly and willing to help. It was a pleasure to talk to Rajeev, who gave me a good insight into the history of the building.

Not a big deal for me, but I booked a deluxe room with castle view which turned out not to have a castle view. It faces towards the inside of the castle and has view of a residential property. They do have rooms which have view of the beautiful wall of the castle, but not from my room. I think the description of the room should be changed.

What a beautiful choice for our accommodation in Jaisalmer. The loving and respectful way they have brought back this magnificent building is to be proud of. Mixing heritage with modern amenities. Not only that but the staff are very friendly and helpful. Top class. Rajeev and Manoot go above and beyond for their guests. Thankyou so much for being such wonderful hosts.

Probably one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in - anywhere. The hotel itself is beautiful. Immaculately clean, charming, a lovely little courtyard area where you can enjoy a chai, and a stunning rooftop restaurant with magnificent views. We booked the room with the giant balcony and it did not disappoint. Wonderful views. Worth every penny. Had candlelit dinners there every evening. They even made us a Rajasthani thali which was just delicious. The room was spotless, massive comfortable bed, clean and modern bathroom. Everything you want after a day of strolling around the city. The main highlight though was the manager - Vijay - and staff. He’s the most helpful hotel owner I’ve come across in my 10 years of coming to India. No scams, he genuinely cares about you and your happiness. He went out of his way to take me to the atm on his bike, helped us to book tickets for lots of things. One of his guys even gave us a free tour of the lake one evening for the light and sound show and for boating, and took us to a lovely cafe for sunset. He offered to take us round the fort too. We got scammed on our desert campsite booking from another company due to it being off season and everything being closed. The manager here sorted everything out for us and called around to find out which campsites we’re still open. He gave us some choices and made the booking for us. He really is just wonderful. Thanks for an amazing stay!

The hotel is pretty pricey

Location is perfect, just inside fort walls with fabulous views. Staff are amazing & restaurant has won the festival award for localcuisine for 2 years now.

Staff was the best. Took care of our breakfast needs, evening drinks, trip to the desert and also transportation to the city. Great view, centrally located. Lots of restaurants close by. The staff and how they take care of their guests is the best. The drivers for the desert trip were also amazing. Special moment.

Location can get noisy during the day but calms down in the evening

A beautiful hotel with a great location, right next the castle. We had a free upgrade to a balcony room with great view of the castle and the town. To see the Sunrise with your coffee in your room is magic ！

The staff needs better training， They are trying hard, but difficult to talk through. The price is a bit higher for what do you get in comparison to other hotels in Rajasthan.

The hotel is elegant and tastefully decorated, large comfortable rooms, ours with an amazing view of the fort. Breakfast was made-to-order and exceptional. Staff was helpful and the owner very personable.

Nothing I didn't like.

The location, the facilities and the polite staff especially Vijayant who manages regular operations were magnificent. On 31st Dec night, a small party was arranged at the roof top restaurant and there were brilliant arrangements for the guests.

Great experience, no dislikes.
