Hotel La Carruba

The room was basic but was ok for a one night stay. Cheap hotel, so shouldn’t expect too much. The room had a balcony overlooking the sea.

The hotel was empty and therefore did not have the full range of services. Our room was basic, air conditioning unit was not working and the fridge could not be plugged in. The air on was fixed when we asked later, it had been switched off on a control panel by the hotel and had been forgotten when we checked in. We had food in the restaurant but it was a reduced menu, no pizzas as it was very very quiet. We were never offered breakfast even though booking.com said it was payable at the hotel. We were repeatedly asked what time we were leaving, not the welcome we had hoped for. I am sure during a busier period the hotel would be better but can only comment on what I found. Very disappointing. The worst hotel we stayed in when in Italy.

The room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely view of the sea. Even though the hotel fronts onto a main road, the room was quiet and you couldn’t hear the traffic. The food was exceptional - fresh and delicious. The best thing of all was the wonderful atmosphere and welcome we received from the owners - the older couple who run it and their son Marco - and the cleaner too! They were all so friendly and warm, it really made our stay special.

Excellent breakfast and great position

I stayed two nights in the Carruba hotel , my experience was excellent.Marco the owner is very helpful person , reliable.I highly recommend this hotel , i had a wonderful staying

The owner was just adoeable. So incredible nice and kind. He made sure we had an exellent stay from we arrived to we left. First we got see view, even we had only paid for back view. We were so thankful becase it is incredible to sit in the evening to see the sea. This is only first of more things that he did that made us feel like spesial guests. The placement of the hotel is ecellent , just nearby the sea. We just loved the place. The hotel also has a spectacular art zoo garden, with all kinds of big animals made in steel and sement. I have newer seen amything like it.. it was just amazing!

All straff was nice, We just loved our stay, and look forward to come back!
