食事やスタッフの対応が良かった

温泉の表示もあり、分析表もあったのですが、浴槽や入った感じがいまひとつ温泉感がなかった。サウナが未だにコロナを理由に休止していた。

立地

クーラーボックスをかりたので、返却に行ったが、素直に受け取ってもらえなかった。

We enjoy our stay at Sunny Shiga! Ms Taka quickly changed us to a better room upon arrival because of some issues with the smell in the bathroom and to be more comfortable. She still provided private bathroom by giving us access to a second room for our convenience. We got the half board option which was a good decision because there were not many places to eat around us. The hotel is a 5 min walk from the main chairlifts at the Takagamahara ski area. The staff were incredibly helpful and polite. They also helped us with using Yamato Transport to ship our ski and snowboarding equipment. The hotel has a small hot spring on premises and a small ski rental shop. You can also buy the all mountain Shiga Kogen ski pass directly with them and save a bit of money. The hotel is also steps away from the bus stop to go to Nagano station and to board the ski shuttle bus.

Almost everything was fine, with some improvements. The common areas had a smoking room but the cigar smell and fumes invaded the main hall which was not comfortable for me as a non smoker. Also the food could use some more variety although most of the days we ate very well. Finally, and obviously the building is a bit outdated, but we were there for a week skiing, and so for us it was good value for money.
