Hotel Hakuba

First of all I went during the ski season, and they had excellent shuttle services for the mountain slopes and to Hakuba JR Station. Second the staff was very kind and patient, and always found a solution! I really enjoyed the onsen, and the gift shop was full of nice items. Third of all the rental shop attendee was super helpful on fitting my boots and bindings, (I had a bad experience at ski hire) I was killing in on the slopes! Lastly, My room was amazing and its a tradition key insert. You dont need to stick the silly card in the wall for electricity functions (Just dont forget it inside, I left it balanced on the door knob so I wouldn't forget it) and the heat stayed on nice and cozy temperature while I was away.

I didn't like that the Miso soup was not consistent. That's all

The onsen is really nice. Hotel has great views from happo. The shuttle bus from the hotel to the resorts a really good. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious.

Loved the very very friendly staff, the meals, and the easy bus pickup to ski anywhere in the Hakuba Valley. Was surprised how many sports stores, coffee places were close by. Great onsen.

We were there 6 days so a bit more variety for dinner would be nice... maybe some theme nights for food.

Beautiful hotel , good location, nice reception / lobby area, with mountain view. I tried the onsen as well, very nice and semi outdoor, with beautiful views on the mountains behind. Room was good, quite spacious, again with an amazing view. Very good bathroom / shower. Good size twin beds. Very nice and helpful staff, very welcoming and going out of their way to help us with advice and direction when asked. They also had ski busses to the main ski areas stopping at the hotel, which was very convenient. the hotel sells ski passes as well and we were also able to rent our ski equipment onsite, which was very good.

Nothing major, but to mention a few points: Beds were very hard, but it seems to be the case in all Japanese hotels we stayed. The TV was awkwardly positioned so you could hardly watch it from the bed. The breakfast was very good but would have liked some variation from day to day.
