Sea View Resort

Wir hatten 2 kleine, aber saubere und praktische Bungalows für eine Nacht. Ein sicherer Parkplatz für unser Mietauto war auch vorhanden.

Der Strand war sehr verschmutzt und viele Streuner liefen herum. Einheimische haben uns vom Schwimmen ausdrücklich abgeraten, da es viel zu gefährlich sei (Juli 2025). Außer Essen zu gehen ("Soul Kitchen" ist wirklich gut) kann man hier eigentlich nichts unternehmen.

No food provided. A shed in the family garden. We loved it but wouldn't stay long there because across from a not very attractive beach and the ice cream van played its tune for hours. However it was perfect for us for a couple of nights in Batticaloa and it was fun being in a family setting. Sitting outside the shed we looked on to an attractive garden and it was very peaceful to read there most of the time. The family left us to our own devices just opening the gate for the car whenever we needed to enter or leave. Nice casual atmosphere. Great value for money and clean. No air conditioning so rather warm. Glamping would be the nearest experience to staying here and as we camp we were very happy with that.

The website was a little deceptive as it gave the impression there would be breakfast or meals. It would have been good to have known there was no food or drink facilities before hand. A little hard to find.

Das Sea View Resort war ein Zwischenstopp auf unserer Reise und mit Thinesh als unseren Gastgeber haben wir großes Glück gehabt! Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und Thinesh sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Wir haben außerdem ein leckeres hausgemachtes Frühstück zu einem fairen Preis direkt im Garten der Anlage erhalten. Danke für alles, wir können diese Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen!

Schöne Bungalows, mit guter Ausstattung. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Er hat für uns auch 4 Fahrräder organisiert (2 hat er vor Ort) oder hat uns mit dem TukTuk an die Hauptstraße gebracht. Preis-Leistungs- Verhältnis ist Topp. Man ist schnell am Strand und kann früh morgens die Fischer bei der Arbeit beobachten und fotografieren. Das ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Tinesh est accueillant et nous a amenés pour dîner car le logement ne propose ni dîner ni petit déjeuner (sur demande uniquement). Les cabanes sont propre.

Il manque une vraie fenêtre aux cabanes

Situé dans un petit jardin luxuriant et très bien entretenu, nous avons été chaleureusement accueilli par Yanesh. Les cabanes sont propres et bien équipées, juste en face de la plage. Yanesh nous a emmené en tuk-tuk pour dîner aux alentours. Le matin, vous pouvez voir les pêcheurs tirer les filets. Un moment authentique de la vie locale. Merci à Yanesh !
