Icy Falls - Ohiya

I stayed at this hotel with my family, booking two rooms. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations. During our stay, three other families also checked in, and we noticed that the hotel staff treated them more favorably, especially during breakfast. We felt the service was poor in comparison. Additionally, we observed washed towels being kept in the restaurant area, which raises hygiene concerns and is not appropriate in a dining environment. Another major issue was the lack of water in the bathroom in the morning. Despite informing the relevant staff, we had to wait over an hour for it to be resolved, which was very inconvenient, especially if you plan to check out early. Overall, we paid around $123 for two rooms, but the service did not justify the cost. The customer service, particularly during check-in and breakfast, was disappointing. The only positive aspect was the hotel’s location.

Great views from our balcony. Not far from the station. The staff arranged a tuk tuk to Horton Plains for us.

Spacious room with a beautiful view and a nice terrace. Great breakfast and welcome tea. Just a short walk from Ohiya train station. They helped us to organise a tuk tuk to Hatton National Park. Payment possible in rupees and USD.

Very loud in the night - someone playing music extemely loud in the neighbouring resort.

The location is good, quite close to the entrance to the national park- about 20 minutets to drive to the ticket office. The staff was nice. The room was nice with beautifull view.

The food was below average . We had a room upstairs under the roof and from four in the morning there was a lot of noise- we could not sleep. When we asked in the morning we were told that it was water pump.
