Bangalawa Resort

We really enjoyed our stay here. All the staff were polite, friendly and tried to help whenever possible. Location-wise it's great for exploring the likes of Sigiriya and Dambulla which are an easy tuk-tuk ride away + some of the restaurants in Habarana are really gems too and only a 10 minute (max) walk away - Mom's Kitchen would be our recommendation. The swimming pool is nice and all communal areas are nice and clean. Breakfast was HUGE and tasty, and we ate dinner one night too which was also home-cooked and tasty. Also, this is a pretty rural location, so some sort of bug spray for evenings to avoid getting bitten would be worth bringing along.

After a few days our bathroom did become a bit stinky, so that would be the downside to note in an otherwise great few days.

I really recommend this place. The pool is great, it feels like a jungle. Breakfasts were better that you can imagine, true Sri Lankan cuisine. However, the best aspect are people working here who are very helpful, nice and smile at you all the time

- some insects, especially ants, in the room, but the place is in the middle of nature so it is part of the game! - the street connecting to the center is a little bit scary at night, very dark.

Beautiful resort. The room had everything you need, the accomodation is great. After a warm day in the sun the pool is amazing. The personnel were very kind and helpful. They helped us arrange all of our tours with tuk tuk and safari. Breakfast was very good. Overall definitely a reccomendation

Lovely stay in the jungle! We had a warm welcome at Bangalawa Resort. They arranged all the excursions we wanted to do within some minutes. We stayed one complete day chilling at their pool! Nice location not far from the lake and the elephant park! We had a nice dinner and the breakfasts offered every moring were the best we have haddd ! Thank you so much!
