Heat place. Owner and wife are nature lovers. I would highly recommend this place for bird watching.

We love bird watching, so we loved Bundala Flamingo Cottages. Chamin was a great host (as were his family), making us lunch when we arrived mid-afternoon, despite it being an obvious inconvenience for him. He took us on a great morning safari where we saw crocs, a python that had just eaten a monkey, and lots of birds. He was very knowledgeable about the park. It's a chilled place and I would recommend it.

What a fantastic experience! I can guarantee you won’t get a better view than this! Chamin and his family are very friendly and accommodating. You can see many bird species just from the cottage balcony but the Bundala NP safari guided by Chamin was unforgettable. Thank you so much😊

The setting is stunning - from the balcony of the room you can look out over the lagoon and the property's garden which are full of bird life. As there aren't many restaurants nearby, Chamin and his team also offer lunch and dinner alongside the included breakfast which was delicious and were huge portions. Aside from the accommodation itself, Chamin's safari was fascinating. We only saw 2 or 3 other jeeps all morning and most of the time we were completely on our own which was a nice switch up compared to Yala. Chamin has a huge amount of knowledge about Bundala National Park and has a great eye for spotting wildlife we would otherwise have missed.

Beautiful location, with views over the wetlands for lazy birding with beers. The host is a great birder but his safari driver is an absolute genius. This sort of expertise is usually 1000$s but was included in our safari of Bundala. Definitely would go back here. The food is also delicious, though slightly small portions- but we are greedy!

It was wonderful to sit and watch the birds! The accommodation/grounds were a bit rough & ready, but it was adequate & very clean. Don’t forget to ask for a top sheet for the bed! The bed was comfy. The host was very friendly & helpful. He & the driver for our Bundala safari were awesome!! Their spotting & bird knowledge was amazing.

With no cafes etc near by, it would have been nice to be able to make a cup of tea.

Fantastic location with wonderful views. The family were friendly and very helpful. They arranged a safari and provided a packed breakfast, everything was a really good experience. We picked this especially for the location and even though it was a budget price it was very good value for money.

What a treat ! The place is such a quiet, peaceful and still lively of wildlife just under your eyes ! On top, our guests and especially are so aware of all the animals you can see in the park and in the garden ! Have a safari with Chamin, far less crowded than any other park and...enjoy !

The house is not completely as it looks like in picture but that is nothing of great importance compare to the happiness you'll find here !
