Ella South Star

Our room was basic but well maintained and clean. The hosts were very friendly. We loved the terrace in front of the room where we could watch the monkeys, our children played and drew there, and we enjoyed breakfast there in the morning. The fact that it is far from the center was not a problem for us because we had a driver.

The room was a bit small for 4 people with a lot of luggage, but for one night this is not a problem. Considering the remote location, we were a little surprised that it was quite loud in the morning (noise of cars, various vendors...), but that's just Sri Lanka I guess :)

The hotel manager Tharuksha is an excellent guy. Was really helpful to get us tuktuk to reach the town.

The location is a bit far from the city. Almost a 20 - 30 mins walk.

Good size rooms. Very clean and tidy. Very helpful owner. Shops nearby. Nice jungle view. Very fast WiFi. Free van parking close to home. We like to come back 😄😄😄.

A quaint, comfortable and affordable guest house tucked away in the hills above Ella town. Close enough to walk if you wish. Part of the trail follows the train tracks, an original experience (and not illegal) where you can wave to arriving visitors on the passing train. Mahon, Samanthi and their son Taruksha are a kind and sweet family who will look after you with care and assist with any information or tourist activities you might be interested in.

Not a dislike but Booking.com asks. We did not get the room we were expecting but were actually upgraded to a larger family room.

 stayed for two nights. Rooms were clean and respond with price. Owner was the Best we met during our travelling. He took his tuk tuk and even guided us to Ella Rock and show us hidden places. You can rent scooters for a good price. If we needed anything he was very kind and helpful. We totally recommend this accommodation!!

Fabulous place to stay ,everything is on spot .specially "tharusha" who given us good service from well come to departure .we appreciated your hospitality. highly recommended for everyone who like to visit ella .hope to come back again , Thanks
