Esprit Bentota

The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes’ walk from the main high street, where there is a supermarket and several restaurants. The beach is also very close, which is a definite plus. Breakfast is served in the restaurant attached to the hotel and consists of a generous portion of fruit, eggs cooked to your preference, along with tea, coffee, and toast. We also had an evening meal there one night; the main course was well portioned and enjoyable.

The mattress was worn out, the sheet was not big enough to cover the mattress.

Kind and helpful staff, tenants can get discounts at the restaurant where dishes are 10/10, excellent cocktails, both A/C and fan both available, beautiful view from balcony (at 3 floor)

Keep in mind that on the third floor there are some noisy animals on the roof at night and there is a railway nearby, but it is very close to the beach.

Lovely location (you can walk right off the platform!) and near the beach. The room was large and the bed comfortable. We were well looked after and they sorted a transfer to the airport for us.

The shower head in our room might need replacing

Really friendly staff, decent rooms, strong air conditioning unit, and really outstanding restaurant on the ground floor that is open late. Delicious food. Also, easy walking distance to the beach via "beach road." Nice balcony to sit in and enjoy the Bentota atmosphere.

Hot water takes some time to get going, but as long as you are patient and wait, it should get to the temperature you want.
