Violet Inn Hotel

We got picked up from the speed boat, as soon as we arrived (which they also helped us organise from Malé). The manager was very helpful the whole time, and also told us about Hanifaru snorkelling rules and expectations. In June 2024 when we were there the Mantas were a little late, so we were told it was pointless going out every day. Instead, they monitor the region with drones. There were a few times when the manager ran down to the beach to get us because there was a sighting. The hotel is linked to the cafe DFC which is very good value for money and tasty food, we ate there every meal. Water was available for free. Laundry was done once for free. It was a short walk to bikini beach, but not bad, and we preferred being closer to the cafe and shops. Overall loved it here and would come back. Service level and value for money were amazing

Room was basic, quite small. But personally, we spent hardly any time in here, as we were out snorkelling the whole time.

We are very happy about our reservation in violet inn. Saape is doing very good job, he take care about our experience at Maledives. Our needs and wishes wos well served.

Good location near the harbor/restaurants. I am glad the manager tried to make things right about my issue (refer below) and offered a free night. Comfortable bed, hot shower, felt safe as a female solo traveler, kitchen area.

I honestly would've given this place a 5/5 rating because there were many great perks (refer above). However, I arrived at 12:00PM (check in start) and instead of having me wait while they deep cleaned, the housekeeper let me check in to my room where I found pee on the toilet still, hair in the sink, an eye booger STILL ON THE PILLOWCASE (honestly have pictures), dark hairs on the bed and pubic hairs on the floor near a gross yellow mark. I mentioned it to the housekeeper who did the bare minimum and didn't even offer to change my sheets. I covered the pillow with a clean shirt and slept in long pants and slept with the sheets folder over as an extra layer of protection because I was so grossed out. I didn't change rooms b/c I only had a few days on the island and there weren't many options left last minute. The manager did offer 1 night free because he was not happy to hear about my experience and did apologize and was nice about it but I honestly have never been somewhere that didn't value cleanliness and I travel a LOT...I don't need anywhere special, as long as it's safe & clean, I am happy. Honestly would've been a great stay if not for the cleanliness issue

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it not bad. However, what truly made our stay exceptional was the incredible service provided by the manager, Afou, and a staff member, Jinane. They went above and beyond to create a bespoke experience for us, turning our stay into something truly memorable. Afou and Jinane organized a custom snorkeling trip where we had the amazing opportunity to swim with turtles and even tried to spot some nurse sharks. Their knowledge of the local marine life and the best spots for snorkeling was impressive. The highlight of the trip was visiting a sandbank and an uninhabited island, both of which boasted crystal clear waters and breathtaking scenery. It felt like we were in a little slice of paradise. This personalized adventure greatly compensated for the otherwise average room. The effort and dedication Afou and Jinane put into ensuring our stay was unique and enjoyable were truly commendable. Thanks to their extraordinary service and the incredible experiences they curated for us, our stay at the hotel became an unforgettable one. I would return for the exceptional hospitality and the remarkable experiences that they expertly arranged.

The room itself was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable space to relax. However, there was a notable issue with humidity in the room, which affected the overall comfort. This humidity made the bed sheets feel damp, which was a bit unpleasant for sleeping. It’s a point that the hotel might need to address to enhance the comfort of future stays.

The location of the hotel is really nice, considering is a small island, but still you are very close to the bikini beach. We did a great tour with the team from the hotel, they were super nice

We found several cockroaches in the toilets. We knew this wasn't a resort and we weren't expecting that either, but is never nice to see cockroaches in a hotel. Keep in mind they don't clean the rooms while you are staying there. The breakfast and dinner was good but there's no variation., you can't choose much.
