Posada Coatepec

Located two blocks from the town´s central square, Posada Coatepec is a charming colonial hotel with an outstanding restaurant. Far from imposing from the outside, the interior of the hotel is a series of small courtyards, with rooms situated in private little alcoves. The grounds are meticulously manicured and are filled with bright flowers and trees. The rooms are simply appointed, but they are spacious and include large showers. There is a swimming pool situated in a small patio area surrounded by beautiful flowers. The hotel restaurant is reknowned in the area and draws diners from as far away as Mexico City with its unusual and varied menu of Mexican cuisine, expertly prepared. To top it all off, the Posada Coatepec is reasonably priced - a real bargain for the qualtiy of the accommodations.

Stayed here for my anniversary in August and found this place absolutely charming. The suites have theme city names and are furnished accordingly. Very spacious and comforting. The manager is a European lady and speaks perfect english. The restaurant is first class. Enjoy!

Just arrived back home from 10 wonderful days in Coatepec, Veracruz, Mexico. We stayed at the Posada Coatepec, a wonderful 23 suite hotel. The service and food were incredible and the hotel used to be an in town hacienda. We consider it our home away from home. It is within walking distance of the square, and is only abour 15 minutes from the town of Xico, where we attended the running of the bulls on July 22. What an incredible event. Coatepec is considered the coffee capital of Mexico, and, the coffee grown there is absolutely of the highest quality. Hope you all get an opportunity to stay at the Posada Coatepec
