Chital lodge

It was an unforgettable experience being in the jungle! For me as a "cityboy " it was amazing seeing rhino's elephants monkeys crocodiles deer and various birds! Bishnu was my private guide because there were no other tourists. He made a very nice programme for 3 days: villagewalk, jeepsafari junglewalk canoetrip and visiting the crocodilefarm breeding centre. At the junglewalk cousin Manoj was also there to get experience to be a guide later. The meals ( 3 times a day) were very delicious! It was really emotional to say goodbye after such a nice and warm stay! Many thanks with love Hans Namasté !

Nothing Nothing Nothing

How can we describe these days at Chital Lodge? We immediately felt at home. A place nestled in the jungle, just steps away from Chitwan National Park. We slept in a hut, surrounded by many (perhaps too many) insects, and washed with lukewarm water, but the energy of this place is indescribable. Bhisnu, the owner, is an exceptional guide, an extraordinary chef, and a wonderful person. Manoj, his right-hand man, won us over right away with his kindness and his beautiful smile. We highly recommend this place! Goodbye, Chintal Lodge.

Our host and his family have been absolutely kind and helpful and exceeded our expectations. Vishnu is a great and experienced guide of the jungle and can arrange and guide a variety of activities in the Chitwan national park. We definitely recommend a hike with him in the jungle. The setting of the small bungalow-style rooms around the big garden is amazing, the dinning hall very comfortable and cool and the meals they serve (breakfast, lunch, dinner) very tasty and qood quality.

Dinning hall, kitchen, garden and all common areas have been perfectly clean and tidy. The rooms, although they offer an original "stay in the jungle" feeling, need to undergo some good renovation and cleanliness of room and bathroom should be improved.

Amazing location outside of the tourist hub right on the edge of the national park. Bishnu and his family made us feel so welcome! Bishnu was an excellent guide on both our Jeep tour and walking safari tour, we spent all day in the jungle it was incredible. Bishnu’s eldest son is a brilliant guide in the making - you can tell the family have a genuine passion for wildlife. The food cooked by Bishnu’s wife was amazing! Definitely will be back!

Nothing not to like! Just make sure you get off the tourist bus at Bharatpur (before the last stop) you can get a tuk tuk or public bus from there.

This is a lodge, and although it is quite basic, the location and hosts were exceptionally nice and friendly. Bishnu is very knowledgeable about the fauna and flora and the area more generally. The food was delicious, and the experience was extremely relaxing and pleasant. Would definitely go back!

Nothing, to be clear this is a lodge away from the main tourist spot for Chitwan park. The room are basic - no A/C - but comfortable. As such, this is not for the travelers looking for a luxury experience.

The Jungle Safari,was Excellent.We see hundreds of spotted deer,hog deersWild boar,Rhinos,Peacock,Siberian docks and other birds. We waited for some time nearby Rapti river but we could not see tiger. Food was good and hospitality from the owner Bishnu, and his family was appreciable. Overall the stay is cheaper

Pillow and blanket can be improved. Can improve the bed sheets.

Really nice place in the peaceful Meghauli, loved the calmness and the warmth and welcoming from Bishnu, Krishna and all his family. They organize really nice safari tour for a good price and they all are amazing people!

The rooms are quite basic, they could use a little refresh, with small efforts this place could be a lot better.

Bishnu and Saru are diamonds. They absolutely make this place with the friendly atmosphere, the great food, and the safari experiences. Bishnu's knowledge of wildlife is phenomenal, and his expertise in the forest is another level. Would definitely go back.

If you're looking for luxury, this is not the place for you. It's very rustic which might be an issue for some, but we we wanted an authentic National Park experience.

We just got back from Chital Lodge and it was a great adventure. The place has a cool safari vibe. It's quite basic when it comes to the rooms but it does the trick.The food is homemade by Bishnu's wife and from breakfast to lunch and dinner everything was really good. The real highlight was the safaris with Bishnu, the owner. We did jeep, boat, and a full-day walk safari. Each one was great in its own way. Bishnu is super passionate about the jungle and loves sharing what he knows, which made the experience 100% better. We got up close with Rhinos a few times, which was mesmerizing ! If you're thinking of doing the walk safari, choose carefully between the one day or two-day option: the experience is incredible but it can get really hot and tiring, just make sure it matches your fitness levels :) All in, Chital Lodge was a blast. If you're after a real-deal safari with some awesome company and great food, this is your spot. Bishnu’s the man when it comes to jungle adventures, and he really makes the experience something special. Totally recommend it!
