The ambiance is amazing, the rooms are stylish and the breakfast is amazing quality! Love chilling by the pool and ordering some delicious dishes such the “Tuna huevos rotos” and the veggies samosas! Sundays are specially fun with the live dj session!!

Staff are super helpful and friendly! Very relaxed and chilled.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Surfing Temple! Brian and the staff made us feel so welcome and well looked after with regular advice about where to eat, how to navigate the sometimes tricky road out to the main street on foot, other destinations on the island to visit and much more! The hotel also facilitated arrival and departure transfers for a seamless pick up and drop off to the airport. The staff organised us with moped rental and we paid at the end of our trip, a surfboard rack and change of helmets were facilitated swiftly. The daily free breakfast is an extensive menu and very delicious too, prepared fresh by the lovely staff. Our room was cleaned and tidied daily to a high standard. This hotel is tucked away from the noise and offers a safe haven of tranquility! In addition, this is excellently located to Cloud 9 and Jacking Horse for amazing surf spots within 5 minutes on a moped. Overall, we absolutely LOVED our time here and would absolutely love to come back!

It is worth noting that the track to get out of the villa is susceptible to large puddles of water, but it was being fixed as we left! We used mopeds to get around and they could easily get through the puddles so it wasn't ever an issue for us and Brian kindly showed us a pathway on foot that meant you could go on foot and not get wet feet. Another point to note is that there is construction work going on above the hotel bar/restaurant which never bothered us because we were often out during their working hours but is something to consider if you're aiming to stay in the hotel by the pool all day. Due to the rainy nature of this rapidly evolving tropical island, neither of these are criticisms and are largely beyond anyone's control!

Our stay was simply exceptional. Upon arriving in Siargao, we spent three nights there and discovered a true little haven. The room was stunning, filled with extraordinary natural light. Everything was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The common areas, especially the pool and kitchen, are warm and inviting, perfect for relaxing. The atmosphere is peaceful and intimate, making it an ideal place to unwind. The staff is incredibly attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed, and the owner stands out for his kindness and generosity. It was such an amazing experience that we almost regret our current accommodation! If you’re unsure about what to do on a Sunday, don’t hesitate—you won’t be disappointed 😉

There’s nothing not to love! A true paradise on Earth.

The hotel has a lot of greenery and on the good side the bar tender was fun and friendly, the food is not bad.

While the staff was very friendly, I unfortunately cannot recommend this location, especially considering the $170 per night rate. Firstly, the towels were not replaced during our six-night stay. We had to request new ones on the fourth day because the humidity made them unusable. This shouldn't be an issue at a hotel. The atmosphere felt more like an Airbnb than a hotel. There’s no reception staff after around 9:30-10 PM, which means you can't order food or drinks after that time. The place felt quite deserted in the evenings, with only a security guard present who was rather loud with his snoring. While the staff seemed attentive when the owner was around, the level of care dropped significantly in her absence. For instance, we ran out of toilet paper and had to ask for more twice—something that should not happen in a hotel. Additionally, the sheets on our bed were stained, which was disappointing. We also encountered a significant issue with the road leading to the property. As many reviews pointed out, it was difficult to navigate with our bikes due to large potholes and flooding. We are experienced riding bikes, but we even had a fall because of the poor conditions. Overall, if I were to return to the island, I would choose a different accommodation. There are likely better and more affordable options available.

Welcoming atmosphere, comfortable and clean rooms exactly as pictured. A good restaurant with varied all day menu. A helpful and super responsive front of house team, especially Dee and Joval made the stay so pleasant.

The road leading up to the hotel can be challenging to navigate with potholes and bumps it’s definitely tough to get through after heavy rain.
