Close to everything. Character building

We had #4 the red room, no storage, I would suggest taking out the table by the door and the chair and putting small bedside tables with drawers. Also add a couple of those suitcase holders so we could put suitcases at the end of the bed.

"Avoid if you want to sleep"

2.0

The King bedroom shared a wall with the bandstand of the bar. The band said it planned to play until 11:00 PM Noise was louder than sitting in front of a speaker when we left. No parking on a Saturday night. No manager on site. Bartender gave me the key. Returned key to a different bartender who had no knowledge of management of the property. No refund on unusable accommodations.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. Coffee in the dining room was excellent, food was good.

The room was not clean. The bed and sheets were fine. but the floor was dirty, dust was layered on some of the items in the room and on the floor boards. The parking was extremely difficult. Although I expected to not park right at the hotel it was difficult to find parking, we we parked a distance away and walked. This should be made clearer.

"If you are looking for a good night's sleep, this isn't the place"

2.0

The hotel web site warns you about the music from the saloon below. That actually wasn't too bad. But noise from the other guests using the shared "veranda" is another matter. We were planning to stay at the Bisbee Grand Hotel for 2 nights. The first night we went to sleep to the sound of blues guitar filtering up from the saloon. Then at 1:00 AM we were awakened by a commotion which sounded like it was almost inside our room. It was a couple of drunks on the veranda which was just outside the windows of our room. That went on for about half an hour and eventually we got a bit of sleep. Apparently, one of the drunks fell asleep on the veranda. When he woke he found he was trapped on the veranda because he didn't have a key to get in. At 5:00 AM we were suddenly awakened by yelling and banging on the windows and walls of our room. After figuring out what was going on, I went out to the hallway and let this guy, who I didn't know from Adam, into the hotel. As you can imagine, we didn't get any sleep after that. If you have a problem in the middle of the night, you are on your own. The "front desk" is the bar of the saloon downstairs and 3 doors down from the hotel entrance. When the saloon closes, there is no one on site. We decided we'd had enough and didn't want to stay for the second night. When we explained why we were cutting our stay short and why, we were told that we could only get a 50% refund for the second night or a voucher for a future stay. We were also told the owner of the hotel would call us but three days later, we are still waiting to hear from him as we think we should get a full refund. Aside from that, the cleanliness of the room leaves something to be desired. The hotel does have "character". If you are looking for an authentic 1906 experience when a night in a boarding house was 25 cents, this is the place for you! Otherwise, stay away.

Breakfast was choice of a muffin, granola bar, bagel or fruit. The attendant, very pleasant, toasted our bagel and provided fresh decaf coffee on request. The bed was comfortable with clean crisp sheets. No coffee maker in the room but there was a coffee maker in the reception room near the rooms. Water in shower was hot. Easy walking to shops, restaurants in Olde Bisbee.

Check in was at a very busy bar where a special party was ongoing. We expected the hotel to be old but the blue room looked like something out of a B western movie-large, cheaply put together, including the step up to the toilet and old shower stall with curtain. We were awakened by noisy, loud talking at 4:47 a.m. which went on for a couple of hours. The window in our room looked out to a three cornered wall, no view. The balcony off the main staircase was offered to smokers.
