Hotel Casa de Gandhi

This hotel is stunning, it’s clear a lot of thought has been put in to making the setting relaxing and comfortable. All the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was good, especially after we endured a bout of food poisoning. Highly recommend to anyone that is staying in San Cristobal.

Very charming and beautifully decorated. Excellent location. Within walking distance to everything you could possibly need. Staff excellent.

The bed in the quadruple room was way too firm for my liking and I found it very uncomfortable. My partner’s bedroom not complaint was that there was not any comfortable chairs to sit in and relax.

If I could give this place 11 stars out of 10 I would. So much character, charm and warmth. 150 year old historic building with vintage artefacts. Family run and the owner and his sons go out of their way to please and are so cute. Delicious breakfast. We stayed in more “exclusive” places around Mexico but this was our favourite. Great location too.

If you are a person who prefers modern 5 star large resorts instead of soul, character and warmth this place is not for you. The bedrooms are not huge but totally adequate.

Nice location, close to the centro.

Lots of street noise, beds are extra firm. The room had a bit of a musty smell. Everything seems very old, which some may find charming but others would feel needs updating.
