Hotel Casa de Gandhi

Incredible family hosts who were so hospitable even though our Spanish speaking was terrible!! The courtyard is a beautiful place, amazing to chill in and have a morning coffee. The location is amazing , right near cafes , bookshops and bars; plenty of live music.

Such a beautiful place. You can tell that there’s a lot of love into making this place. It’s almost like a little museum with so many nice details. Mario and his family are the kindest people you can imagine, they even served an alcoholic drink at breakfast which really helped to start the day strong. Much love to this amazing place!

The whole city is quite noisy so be aware of that. But just bring some earplugs and you’re good to go. This place is totally worth it!

Loved the decor of the hotel, everything was well maintained. Staff were great and even let us check in early after arriving on a night bus. Coffee available all day in courtyard. Very comfortable bed. Highly recommend a stay here.

The family that runs this restaurant is so kind and so helpful. I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was great character and was close to popular destinations. I was traveling with my 2 kids and they really liked it too!

It was a bit loud at night (but that is because the city is loud, not the hotel’s fault).

The staff is extremely friendly and very very helpful. The hotel has a really interesting architecture and is cosy. The staff is accommodating to our needs. We arrived early and they let us check in at that time and even let us check out later. Super super recommend for your future stay in san Cristobal!

This hotel has an old-world charm. It is full of antiques like old record players, radios, etc. You feel like you've stepped into another era. My husband and I went to San Cristobal for a long weekend and we chose Casa de Ghandi for their great reviews. The feel of the place is like being in a cozy cabin. We used the old radio and even found a good jazz station. The beds are super comfortable and the staff is lovely. It's owned by a nice family, and the property has only 4 rooms, so there is very little noise. Great stay!

Was ill the evening I arrived and told the person at check in. He took me right to my room and asked if I needed anything. I asked for more water than the ones already provided and he brought me 3 more and an extra towel. I didn't feel like getting out the next morning so I called the hotel # and asked for 3 scrambled eggs plain and a couple more waters. 10 minutes later they were at my door exactly as ordered plus a hot tea I didn't think I wanted but found advantageous. A couple hours later I felt well enough to get dressed and find a pharmacy for electrolyte drinks and medicine. I asked the manager and he said it was close but he'd get me a cab. I surmise if I'd asked him to pick it for me he would have accommodated me. Felt well enough to take my 3pm scheduled tour and had an enjoyable afternoon touring the city. Only stayed 2 nights and wished I'd had the flexibility to extend my stay. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in San Cristobal.

The hotel was beautifully decorated and felt very cozy. The owner has a great eye for detail. Every step of the way the staff wants to make you feel welcome and taken cared off. We enjoyed the breakfast very much and appreciated the help with booking tours and taxis. The hotel is also located in the center so for evenings out we could do everything by foot.

Simply amazing! A unique location which has been decorated with all kinds of retro items, very friendly and helpful people. The breakfast is also recommended at the restaurant. Great hospitality! We would definitely recommend this place to everyone.
