The Maxwell Inn

Three things that will keep me coming back: convenience to town and park, very clean, and great personnel! It’s close enough to walk to town but out of the hustle and bustle. When we arrived, we had a second floor room, but with bad knees I asked for a first floor room and Dana more than accommodated us. This was our third stay here but it won’t be the last!

We stayed at The Maxwell Inn for four nights last week and absolutely loved everything about our stay. The owners were incredibly attentive, friendly, and always available, which made us feel so welcome. The continental breakfast was just right, with plenty of options—protein choices, cereals, fresh fruit, and even a generous supply of cookies to take back to the room after long days of hiking. Our room was spacious and cozy, equipped with everything we needed: a fireplace, heater, A/C, microwave, mini refrigerator, and upgraded, spotless showers. We loved having plenty of comfortable seating and the option to open the large windows for fresh mountain air. Watching wildlife in the yard was such a treat! We can’t wait to return to The Maxwell Inn—it was the perfect mix of comfort, charm, and hospitality.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like.

We loved the location, being close to town and visits from an entire family of elk one morning. Our room was very small, but clean. Breakfast foods were basic, but appreciated.

We wish that the hot tub and fire pit hours could have been extended to 11 pm, but I understand that quiet hours are a priority, as I imagine most guests are there to get up early and go to the park.

We had a delightful experience at the Maxwell Inn in Estes Park! The inn was not only clean and cozy, but it also offered the perfect location for exploring Rocky Mountain National Park. We loved being within walking distance to downtown Estes Park, making it easy to enjoy shops and restaurants. We stayed in the annex 4-plex on-site, which felt like a little home away from home. It was peaceful and comfortable, providing the perfect retreat after our daily adventures. The continental breakfast, while simple, was just what we needed to kickstart our days in the park. It offered light snacks that were perfect for fueling our morning hikes. Overall, our stay at Maxwell Inn was fantastic, and we can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking to explore this beautiful area! 🌲🏞️✨

Hummingbirds, quiet, wonderful mattress for this elder, the owner helped me negotiation the park reservation system which I found challenging. It was very challenging.

Location. Very close to the entrance of RMNP and within walking distance of the shops/restaurants of Estes Park.

Fabulous location

Perfect location---easy walk to restaurants/shops and quick drive to RMNP. Clean, friendly. We would stay here again.
