The Maxwell Inn

Dana and Peter were absolutely wonderful owners, who take pride in providing the utmost premium care and comfort to their patrons! The room was fantastic, the location and access was excellent and easy and it was quiet! I know where I'll be staying when I go back to Estes Park, and I highly recommend it as I've stayed in a lot of places that don't even come close to comparing to feeling at home, and a great atmosphere!

There was not one thing I didn't like. The end.

Very convenient to downtown can walk or there's a seasonal tolley stop out front. Owner is very friendly they keep the place very clean. Rooms are comfortable nice gas fire pit outside sitting area. Only thing is pillows in room could be a little fluffier. Would stay here again!

Breakfast was good. Easy for a quick bite or to grab and go.

I would suggest chairs on the balcony outside the rooms

Beautiful location. Our room balcony is literally right over the river. Wonderfully renovated and owners are very nice people. Would HIGHLY recommend and I am not typically impressed enough with hotels to write reviews. Can walk to Main Street in town or ride trolley which stops right outside.

Unpleasant stay. Our king bed room actually had two rooms; the front room was the bedroom and the back was a combo bathroom /closet/ coffee station. The AC was in the back room. The rooms were separated by a doorway and even though we left the door open and cranked the ac the front room was very hot. The solution was to open the front window which meant we had to open the blinds also to let air in (and street noise, and fellow guests walking by while we tried to sleep). The bathroom was so tiny that there was not enough room to shut the door when it was in use. The shower was like a camper size. Coffee in the lobby doesn’t start until 7 am which is not great for early hiking.

The front desk staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating when I booked the wrong check-in date.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Great owner/host and room and location. I would return and recommend. Liked that it is family owned and not a generic chain.

Great location to enter Rocky Mountain national park. Clean and comfortable, park right in front of unit is nice, free trolley to Estes park but we walked easily

The fridge was small and not cold, not really and kitchenette it was all in bathroom
