Hotel Minturn

Don't expect a lobby with a receptionist. There's no one at the building and a button lock on the entry door. If you don't get a "day of arrival" email from the management, you won't have the combination to get in. Then you have to call for help and leave a message. You also won't find out until you eventually get the day-of-arrival email that there's no air conditioning. That makes sense for a hotel that serves primarily a winter crowd, but it's not so good in the late spring and early summer. The only way to get the room to cool down at night is to open the windows, which means you are subject to all the outside noise—cars and late-night revelers. It's not clear that they do regular walk-throughs of the rooms. The shower control was broken off and held in place only by internal friction. The room itself was clean and modern, with a Keurig and lots of coffee/tea pods.

We love the location, right in between Beavercreek and Vail… Plus walking distance to several iconic eateries – the Minturn Country Club and the Mintern Saloon, plus a really terrific Thai restaurant! Hotel is clean, which is super important to us, they provide lots of coffees :-)

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was comfortable and very clean. The best part of my stay was the wonderful water pressure in the shower. The town of Minturn was amazing with some of the friendliest people. I would definitely book another stay.

Minturn is a cool little town away from the glitz of vail. The hotel was fine.

The alarm going off at night. The furniture is clean and ok, but well loved. Surprised it was a basement with no natural light.

This was our 8th trip to Minturn, and the first time we have stayed at the Hotel. Firstly, it’s a great location. Moments walk from the restaurants, cafe and saloon bar. Dedicated parking spaces out front were greatly appreciated. Check-in was via instructions issued via email and we had no issues accessing our room. We stayed in Room 1 on the ground floor for two nights. The bed was super comfortable and the linen and towels were high quality. The shower was powerful and hot water in plentiful supply. However, the room was in need of a few repairs… A review one year ago in Feb 2023 mentions the blinds. All 3 blinds are still broken in Feb 2024 and could not be opened. This meant no natural light in the room. I was disappointed that previous guest comments had not been actioned on this. One of the table legs was broken and one chair was wobbly and on the verge of breaking. There were a guide books and magazines provided on the local area (suggesting dining options, for example). These were dated 2019 and 2022. Could perhaps have been updated for the current year, or else removed entirely. There was a kitchenette in the room which was great to self-cater breakfast and snacks. But there was no dish washing liquid to wash the dishes with, only hand soap. Not ideal. Only one tiny body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided. If there are more than one person over multiple nights, you would need to request replenishments. This place has the potential to be great - if a few minor points are rectified.

The location was amazing and the room was clean.

The room was freezing cold because the heat had been turned off before we arrived. Then the arrival instructions noted that it would take 6-8 hours to change the temperature due to in floor heating. Also the room was a dark basement room.

The self check in part was nice as well as the bathroom/shower. Parking very convenient.

The curtains did not raise. Would be nice to have some natural light. Also would be nice to have some decaf coffee.

There was no electricity for the entire duration of the stay and made life very difficult.
