Nice, clean and relatively new hotel!

No Services, such as breakfast. No Restaurants and nothing in the area. Its like a ghost town!

the room was clean and well appointed. the staff went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed and the balcony garden and rooftop bar garden were incredibly beautiful filled with orchids, a coy pond and every edible herb imaginable. we had a lovely stay here at Paris of dragon bay and would recommend it to anyone.

They let us check in super early, which was amazing. The room was spacious and staff were helpful. They gave us a Christmas bottle of wine on departure.

The mattress was like a concrete slab. Just awful. Little sleep was had. There is no actual usable balcony space, it is covered in plants that have automatic watering systems that go off during the afternoon. The balcony area near the room was nice, until we were asked to leave because they had to water (mid-afternoon) all the plants. Went to have a drink at the bar at about 4 in the afternoon, filled with 'smoke'. They said it was to freshen up the air. We placed a food order to be delivered, which they cancelled because they didn't know about it (did not even check with us or ask us, sat in reception for 15 minutes with a staff member at the desk who I told I was waiting for food) They do not even serve food here, so I don't know what the problem was.

The staff were very nice and accommodating, they were happy to extend our stay free of charge when we explained our flight the following day was not until the evening. The mini bar was about 1.5 times the cost of supermarket prices and there was a range of sweets and snacks available to buy. The room we stayed in was quite basic but had all the amenities you would expect and was clean and well laid out. Very usefully there was free toothpaste and toothbrushes in the bathroom along with Dove body wash and head and shoulders shampoo which is quite unusual. The mattresses are quite hard by western standards so be prepared if you like a super soft bed, personally I found it absolutely fine once I got used to the initial shock of flopping down on it after a long days travelling and feeling like I'd landed on the floor. One thing to keep in mind is that local people do not speak much english and the restaurants do not have english on their menus, having an app such as google translate will be useful and the locals are very friendly and keen to help out in any way they can.

This hotel is quite a long way from central Hạ Long which is on the opposite side of the river and getting to the centre requires a taxi as there is a huge bridge connecting it to the main town which is not suitable for pedestrian or cycles. The area is a newly built holiday resort and is still under construction so while it is pleasant and has a lot of potential at the moment there isn't lot going on in terms of restaurants or entertainment.

The hotel was in fantastic condition and looked as though it had just undergone a superb renovation. upon arrival we were immediately met by incredible customer service and the offer of local sights and attractions. The rooms were spacious and trendy, possessing a great deal of space and French style floor to ceiling windows. We ate breakfast in the hotels restaurant and the chicken noodles were A+. They were incredibly tasty and exceptionally well priced. Anh, a staff member, went above and beyond for my family while we stayed at this accomodation and his customer service can not be applauded more. I would personally recommend coming to this hotel and staying for as long as you can.
