Hotel Santo Vanuatu

Location was very central and easily accessible. Room was clean, had coffee station and small fridge. It was nice to have chairs outside the room. The external alfresco area was nice.

No hot water at any time of the day even though the manager mentioned a booster being used when solar is available. During the night, lots of dogs barking in the neighbourhood. Room fan only had 2 speeds, on and turbo (it seemed quite dangerous).

Location, pool area, gardens.

Very basic hotel. No hot water, no hand towel or hair dryer.

The Garden and the pool are well maintained and you can hang out in the common area.

The rooms are in pretty bad conditions. They urgently need a lift up. The bed starts rolling when you sit down on it and there were spots of dirt on the bed sheets. There was a wet spot near our toilet caused from the toilet brush. A cockroach surprised us in the evening which made us feel uncomfortable sleeping. For showering they put soap mixed with water into a plastic bottle. The water pressure is pretty low, so washing your hair can become a burden. You also dont get shampoo or body wash in small containers which you would get in similar priced hotels. The Manager did not tell us about the included breakfast in the Restaurant and did. not even bother to tell us when she saw us walking across the street to the nearby Café in the mornings. At least they took off some money from our bill when we asked them to. However, the missinng info cost us a bunch of money. There were also just limited infos and brochures of what you can do on the island. You really dont get what you re paying for so i would recommend staying somewhere else.

The staff were welcoming and very helpful. Mary-Jane assisted me with organising some day trips which were excellent. I also enjoyed the meals from the restaurant. The pool area was lovely and relaxing surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens.

Centrally located, friendly staff, rooms are spacious, clean and tidy, unique decor throughout the hotel,

Breakfast is very basic

Lisa and Mary Jane (management) were exceptional in meeting all our needs and helped us remain comfortable with every request. Nothing was an effort for them. They went over and above for us. Staff were excellent and the restaurant was fantastic to dine at.

There is nothing bad about the Hotel.

Amazing staff, Lisa and her mum are so kind, and treated us like family, John behind the bar was so lovely and kind. The food was incredible, great vegan options and very authentic Vanuatu food (which made a nice change to everywhere else we had been). The room had everything you needed. We loved the retro 70s decor, it was like walking back in time. Very close to the wharf, shops, and Lisa organised everything that we needed (including yoga!) Can’t recommend enough!
