Charlie's House

First of all, it was so much better than expected. I expected a somewhat crammed city house, but in fact there were more like Bungalows spread around a garden courtyard. Nice sitting area right outside the rooms. Both the room and the attached bathroom were very spacious and clean enough kind of a thing. There is no restaurant or bar anymore, but in Pai, you really don't need Guesthouse restaurants, as there are so many lining the streets. The location is superb, right in town, just maybe 200m from the bus station. 7 eleven across the street and the night market on your doorstep. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but it can sometimes be difficult to find any staff. However, when I finally found a member of staff, they changed a broken lightbulb on my terrace straight away.

My room had cups and coffee, but no electric kettle. The drying rack for clothing was also missing.

Bungalow room nicely upgraded. Comfortable and clean. Rice porridge stall right outside the property in the morning. Right in the center, but quiet.

Bathroom still a little dated.

Good location. Comfy bed.

Not all windows work so airing can be an issue

It was very dark and outdated, unfortunately it wasn’t worth the price in my opinion. The towels were horrible and there were no staff to be seen at any point to ask for anything- it just wasn’t what I was expecting.
