Ocean Resort Amed

Was only here for 2 nights and it was great. Big spacious room, comfy bed, clean…nice pool overlooking the ocean.

The view, and being able to snorkel off the pebble beach.

Lack of service. Completely couldn’t give a hoot. It is as if we did them a disfavour by being there. Some could not even bother lifting their heads up from their phone to greet you. Mould everywhere. Peeling paint. No kettle (you have to ask for one downstairs at reception), no tea/coffee making facilities, not even a glass in the room. No maintenance has been done on this property for years. Torn sheets. Mouldy pillows. Stained pillowcases and sheets. No mattress protector. Dirty curtains that hang skew. No bath towels. No hand towels either. A little soap and small shower gel, two toothbrushes and a tiny toothpaste is all you get. You have to ask for them for bath towels. Washed out, thin & grey towels were handed to us. Beach towels washed out as well. Breakfast was awful. Dry toast, no butter. Overcooked eggs. Only went once. And the restaurant should be packed as it is right on the water. Prime location. Next door is under construction. It was not too noisy. This place was shocking and a hard lesson in budget accommodation. How it is on Booking I don’t know. It is a shame the owners have prime real estate and it should be packed with guests and trade.

Everything was clean.

The location is unbeatable. The best snorkelling right out the feont of the hotel. The views are amazing!

Could have been a bit cleaner.
