Ocean Resort Amed

After reading some other reviews was slightly worried people complaining about too many stairs and not a great location but disagree with them entirely. The stairs are fine and we were on the top floor. Location is great even if you don't scooter. There's a minimart 5 mins down the road and 10+ amazing restaurants/warungs within 10 mins walking distance. Can recommend getting the sea view room, so beautiful to wake up to that view everyday and see the sunset from your balcony in the evening. We organised transport from Kuta to the resort through the resort directly and were impressed with the price quoted (half what it said on grab) and the driver was great too. The hotel staff are absolutel legends. Front desk team was lovely and same with the restaurant staff. The restaurant food was even better than we expected so ate there a couple times and also got breakfast and room service to our room. The snorkelling right out front of the hotel is great. The Italian restaurant 'Gusto' 5 mins walk down the road was spectacular. For any spa/massage needs we could recommend the 'wellness hub and spa' about 6-7 mins walk away. This place was amazing value for money, and we will definitely be back.

The bed linen could do with a refresh as well as the shower curtain. The shower leaked a bit but no big deal.

Honestly this place is fantastic for the money. The rooms are big, the bed comfy and you can get a great sea view. Breakfast is simple but also great value for money :) worth a visit

Such a nice clean resort

The room itself was just okay. It was huge and had the basics that we needed. Food was mid, but good enough. However, the views was amazing so it was really worth it. You get the sea view and can still see Mt. Agung.

The restaurant down on the beach was wonderful.

The male staff appeared very arrogant and not willing to help you or make you feel comfortable. The internet was broken when I arrived. There was no information about when it would be fixed. The shower head spread water all over the bathroom floor. The toilet leaked. There was no drinking water available or facilities to make tea or coffee. The room was advertised as garden view, but turned out to be an undercovered basement view of plastic plants. There were no rooms available for an upgrade. No one told me what activities were available in the area or helped me organize my transport away. I felt cheated.

The location is perfect, new hotel, very good staff.

Not stylish, breakfast is poor
