Uros Titicaca Lodge

El lugar es espectacular dentro del lago Titicaca , Carlos siempre estuvo atento a nuestras solicitudes.

A very unique and beautiful stay on Lake Titicaca. Carlos is extremely friendly, the room has amazing lake views, and the optional open lake tour was really nice.

Not much to do outside of activities by boat which makes sense, since it’s on one of the man made islands. Therefore I wouldn’t stay here more than a couple of nights, and bring some board games for the evening. But it’s great to relax and see how the Uros live!!

We LOVED our stay in Ivan's property on Lake Titicaca. From the beginning, communication was easy and informative, making sure that we were able to make the most out of our time on the lake. The place itself was gorgeous, huge, and had stunning views of both sunset and sunrise from the outdoor area - perfect for relaxing and taking in the beautiful surrounds. Dinner and breakfast provided were simple, homemade and delicious. Ivan was also able to help arrange a visit to Taquile island on our day of departure which was fabulous.

A beautiful location and fabulous host. A really must do stay for adventurous travellers seeking an immersive look at Uros living. Not for infirm or 5* luxury travellers but a wonderful experience for us.

Le lodge est une poubelle à ciel ouvert. Tout est comme laissé à l'abandon et sale. Il fait très froid dans les chambres. Ce que le propriétaire appelle chauffage est un lampadaire à gaz normalement reserve à un usage extérieur. impossible de s'en servir cela intoxique l'air et c'est dangereux . il est marqué dans le descriptif cheminée mais il ny en a pas. L'eau est soit glaciale, soit brûlante. La cuisine est quelconque et surtout nous avons pu jeté un œil dans la cuisine cela donne envie de fuir tellement c'est sale. Le 1er matin il n'y a eu personne à l'accueil dans la pièce principale si bien qu 'on a cru être seules sur le lodge. puis on nous a expliqué qu il n'y avait pas de petit déjeuner avant 9h00... bref si nous recommandons l'expérience de passer une nuit sur un lodge sur le lac fuyez cette adresse qui est en plus chère.

It’s unique setting is fantastic; hospitality great, made to feel very welcome. You are collected and taken back by boat by the owners.

The remoteness and peacefulness of the location. The perfect place to step back and disconnect. Ivan and his family were the perfect hosts, very attentive. This is a traditional homestead, so not expect the luxuries and amenities of a typical hotel.

Only had 16 hrs in puno- Ivan collected me and returned me to the port so I could experience life on a reed island

It was colder than I expected but warm in bed

Carlos and family were very kind. Amazing location. Fabulous to wake up right in the lake with big windows. Bed super comfortable and warm. Well organised transfer from Puno to the lodge (have to ask). Enjoyed Lake Titicaca tour that Carlos organised (took us to larger tourist boat, full day 110 soles each including lunch). Breakfast and dinner included (veggie option but tell them ahead). Good hot shower.

No drinkable water and can’t buy it - you must have a filter bottle which luckily we had! No snacks to buy so we were very hungry a lot- we were not aware of this prior. Very kind family but we were a bit unsure what was happening a lot of the time (and we also speak Spanish). 5% additional charge to pay for room by card which not aware of.
