Uros Titicaca Lodge

Exceptional place on Lake Titicaca. Great modern and comfortable rooms, with a terras to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. Magnificent starsgazing on a clear night. Great food. Ivan and his wife are warm, friendly and helpful. We joined a small tour, which we liked very much, Ivan is a great guide. A big plus is that this place is located outside the busy and very touristic Uros islands and you can really enjoy the beauty of the lake.

Das große Zimmer war ein Traum. Wir hatten eine tolle Aussicht auf den See von vorne und hinten, ein Riesen großes bequemes Bett, Sofas und Schaukelstuhl sowie ein Bett draußen auf dem Wasser. Wir hatten warmes Wasser und Carlos, der Hausbesitzer hat uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Er brachte uns zu einem Restaurant zum Mittagessen und abends kochte seine Familie für uns. Das Essen war dort total lecker und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmte voll und ganz. Wir haben sogar mit mehr gerechnet. Denn Carlos fuhr uns zwei Stunden mit seinem Boot herum und zeigte uns den See, die Community und erklärte uns in einem guten English sehr viel. Wir haben viel gelernt und den Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen. Wir waren froh, dass wir zwei Nächte dort waren, so konnten wir uns entspannen und alles in Ruhe genießen. Nachts wird es dort sehr kalt, aber die vielen Decken und Wärmflaschen halten warm. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig, es gibt pancakes, Kuchen, yoghurt, cerealien, Obst und so viel Kaffee und Tee wie man möchte. Kaffee und Tee gab es immer, wenn wir danach fragten. Carlos hat alles organisiert, damit wir reibungslos von Puno zu seiner Unterkunft kommen. Wir sind vollkommen glücklich. Wir können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

Carlos was super host. Unique experience, it amazes how you can build islands like this, respect for the people. Breakfast was amazing, our room incredible, huge heater if it’s cold, a lot of layers to sleep in. They take you with boat to the place and bring back and if needed they call taxi. Amazing people !

Just the WiFi wasn’t working in the room

Our stay at Uros Titicaca Lodge, hosted by the wonderful Ivan and his family, was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality that instantly made us feel at home. This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an experience of connection, tradition, and serenity on the stunning Lake Titicaca. The logistics were seamless, with smooth pick-up and drop-off by boat and taxi, making the journey effortless and enjoyable. Our room was beautifully designed—comfortable, clean, and full of local character. It came with everything we needed: a private toilet, hot shower, towels, heater, bottled water, a spacious bed, and a balcony with breathtaking views of the lake. Every detail was thoughtfully prepared, blending comfort with authentic charm. We especially loved relaxing in the cozy common area, warming up by the heater with complimentary tea or coffee after days of exploring. It was the perfect place to unwind and take in the peaceful ambiance. The food was another highlight. Homemade breakfasts and dinners were simple, delicious, and prepared with care—fresh, flavorful, and made with love. We looked forward to every meal. Sunrises and sunsets here are absolutely unforgettable, with panoramic lake views you won’t find anywhere else. Ivan also took us on a private boat tour around the Uros floating islands, offering a deeper glimpse into the local communities and way of life. Every interaction with his family and neighbors was heartwarming—they were always kind, attentive, and eager to ensure we were happy and comfortable. This lodge is more than just accommodation; it's a heartfelt experience rooted in tradition, family, and nature. We feel lucky to have found such a special place and know we’ll return again. Uros Titicaca Lodge will always hold a meaningful place in our Peru memories.

Lovely experience on the Uros floating islands. When I booked I didn’t realize we were staying in an island so glad that I coordinated transport with the owner Carlos so that it was a smooth pick up after our night bus from Cusco. We got a lovely room, very spacious with a king size bed with lake views. The food served for breakfast and dinner was quite good, although a bit erratic in serving it. Wi-Fi is spotty but there was some. Great local community tour with lunch at a restaurant in the lake. Carlos and Maribel are lovely people and have great dreams for their family which was nice to hear about.

The staff was very nice. They picked us up from our hotel in Puno and took us to a dock where we were taken by boat to the island. It was a very nice boat ride. The room was heated although the bathroom was cold. it had a beautiful view of the bay. Dinner was simple but very nice as was breakfast. We had to be back in Puno by 9:30 and they got us back there on time with no problem. it was an interesting experience staying on one of the floating islands.

Lake Titicaca can get quite cold when the sun goes down, so we were grateful to have packed wool base layers, coats, hats, and gloves. Thankfully, Uros Lake Titicaca Lodge made sure our room was well-equipped with everything we needed to stay warm and comfortable throughout our stay.

The most beautiful place to stay. Relaxing on the sun bed and watching the lake. Dinner and breakfast were brought to the lodge. The hosts were amazing. They took me on a trip around the islands in the afternoon, much quieter than the busy touristy mornings. Amazing!
