CHUSThis is an amazing cultural experience! Ivan graciously hosts you on his home island, his wife cooks good food, and you get to experience the Uros culture without being in the super touristy part of the islands. Truly a special experience.

GRThe floating islands of Uros are unique in the whole world. It was an amazing experience, just watching the sunset from our room was magical. The hardest part was the toilet, but you get used to it. The food prepared by the hosts was really good. They also helped us join a tour in Taquile Island. I also want to clarify something about the previous comment. There was a flooding on the room mentioned because a half a meter wave crushed on the floating island. I guess the hosts didn't want to disturb the experience of the guests, but they should have disclosured that they would move them to another island.

USClearly, it’s a very unique experience staying on a floating reed island! I think this lodge is one of the best accommodations on Uros and we could see how much work and care our hosts put into making their guests as comfortable as possible according to the Western standards. Both Yovana and Carlos were super accommodating to all our needs and we truly enjoyed our stay in their sweet company. Even with my limited Spanish I’ve learned a lot from Yovana about challenges of traditional living on the lake. We have huge respect for these beautiful warm-hearted people!
