La ubicación y en un pub mirando al río, el descuento en el pub del 25% de consumiciones y el carácter del edificio antiguo

Cuando ya había cerrado el pub y recogido sus mesas, un grupo de jóvenes borrachos se instaló debajo de nuestra ventana y gritaban tanto y hasta tan tarde que era imposible dormir. Hacía mucha calor pero acabamos por cerrar la ventana . Quise incluso llamar a la policía pero no lo hice. Un ventilador barato nos hubiera ayudado mucho.

Shower drainage was clogged up at times but managed to clear

Bed was confy, lovely Front view to river Ouse. Fair price for one night. Staff kindly saved our bags until check in.

Shower not working and furniture paint was peeling off on both dressing table tops. . Window was partially covered by headboard which obstructed the view to the outside which was a shame considering that was part of the reason I've booked with the property.

We drove 2 hours from newcastle to arrive for 3pm as we had booked bottomless brunch for 5pm nearby. Booked the hotel 4 months in advance however when we arrived we were told they had the booking and payment from me but they didn't have a room allocated and they were sold out! Not what you want to hear when your short for time. We were told to sit down while they tried to sort something out. Luckily they allowed us to stay and we checked in eventually at 15.40 Room was basic, very noisy outside thought things should have been handled better and they really need to make sure this dosnt happen again

The location was great the place was fine but up a lot of steps to the room 2 flights first was steep next winding stairs could easily fall if not good on the legs .Bathroom was big shower was good .It was better than we expected after reading the reviews.

The bulb in the room didn't give off much light also the lamp was so dull as unable to read, need it brighter then no problem.

We booked here as we were going to see Fawlty towers at the opera house, it was just around the corner which was fab , the room was lovely with a fabulous view down the river , lovely big bathroom, TV had plenty of channels, plenty of tea and coffee and space to hang clothes up , will definitely stay here again

The stairs were steep but we knew that when we booked, but there was good handrails to hold on to, so it wasn't a problem, we just took it steady, it's an old building so it's expected and it certainly didn't put us off and won't stop us visiting again

Location is great, which was my main criterion this visit.
