Hotel Punta

Great location, amazing view

The hotel really needs a refurb. Our bedroom was in dire need of an over haul. There needs to be more beds round the pool. The food, even the breakfast is not great.

it doesn’t look like the pictures I saw of the hotel. You get only one thin pillow, no duvet, one morning no hot water, only every 2nd day cleaning and the towels were really old. I could feel the springs of my matrass when laying down.

The few good things about this hotel was the friendly staff and location in comparison to the port (5 min car) and airport (5 min car).

Very disappointed with our stay. Booked on the basis that this is a 4 star hotel, but felt more like a 2 star hotel. Room was not clean, mould in areas of the bathroom. The shower facilities looked like they were hanging loose and the bath was half the size of a normal bath. Taps made a ringing noise when you turned them on and hardly any hot water throughout the stay! The beds were way too hard and painful to sleep on. To top it all off, breakfast was poor. Couldn't even drink the orange juice because it tasted gone off. We ended up going to the port for breakfast every morning even though we had breakfast booked as part of our stay. The rules of this hotel were also a little odd - you had to hand your key to reception every time you left the hotel, whihc was a little unsettling seeing as most people have valuables in their bedrooms and wouldn't be best pleased (just as we weren't) leaving that to the hands of the hotel. Seriously thing the hotel should not be advertising itself as a four star as its terribly misleading.

The staff were friendly and the pool and view is great. Selection of food is great for breakfast. Pool area is really quiet and suitable for children although it turns all your costumes green.

The rooms are dated and smell. The air con is completely pointless as they cap it at a certain temperature. I am 14 weeks pregnant and have 2 small children and I had awful sleeps due to this. The beds are rock hard also. I would expect a lot more for £250 a night and 4 stars. The shuttle bus to town is only at 4 and 7 and doesn’t have a return to collect later in the evening after dinner, I find this a bit crazy.
