The location, grounds, staff, and food were great. The staff went out of their way to make me a pot of tea for my room. The house is beautiful!

The room could have used a deep clean-carpet cleaning and walls wiped.

Beautiful building with LOTS of potential. Really needs to take some time off for a good clean up and fix up. Food was very good. Beautiful view.

Not that we didn't like it - service was fair, great in the morning. It's tired but great potential. I'm sure it was much nicer a few years ago - the fake covid crap probably played a role in the down fall.

The location and history of the property were amazing, and the staff were friendly and helpful at check-in. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom included a beautiful soaker tub (which we didn't use, but is a nice touch for longer stays). The proper is near a landing strip for small planes, and even though our room faced it, we heard zero jet engine noise unless the French doors or windows were open. Unfortunately, it was rainy while we were there, so we didn't sit outside for tea or an adult beverage, but there certainly are some nice places to do this. It's quiet, peaceful, and zen-like.

The on-property restaurant is convenient, and the food is good, yet a bit underwhelming, in some ways. The waitstaff was young, and they seemed a bit nervous in their roles, and they were forgetful or a bit slow with service. This was fine as we were never in any hurry. The dining room atmosphere feels quaint and inviting, and it was quiet during the times we were there. It would be nice if the chairs had been more comfortable.

The staff were friendly and super helpful with any request we had. The food was as fantastic. The room was very comfortable and spacious.

There was nothing to not like - Tay house was great.
