Review of The White Goose Hotel, Canggu We loved the overall ambiance and design of this hotel – tropical and Bohemian chic, with a stylish and relaxing vibe. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the beach. The staff provided very good service throughout our stay – always attentive, friendly, and helpful. The pool area was lovely, though personally I found there were a bit too many trees blocking the sun, which made tanning less ideal. There were also quite a lot of mosquitos around the pool area. The hotel did fogging a couple of days later that hopefully helped. In short: a beautifully designed hotel with great service and location, but I’d only recommend it if nightlife is part of your plan, or if you don’t mind significant noise at night.

One very important thing to note: the hotel is located directly opposite the biggest party beach club on the island. This makes it a great choice if you’re planning to party all night, or if you can sleep through anything. However, for light sleepers, it was far from ideal. The noise from cars and bikes during the night was even more disturbing than the heavy bass from the club. Breakfast was okay, but could definitely be improved with a bit more flavor and variety.
