"Left early due to poor state of room"

1.0

Breakfast good. Location good.

Room needs updating, room smelt furniture was blistered and sticky to touch. Towels grubby. Fixtures and fittings loose. Leak on toilet, a towel had been placed underneath to contain the leak. Bed in poor condition, mattress sunken in, bedding valence sheet not ironed all creased. Carpet stained and threadbare. One bedside lamp had no shade. Wall next to window was damp. Entrance to rooms was open to the public.

"Excellent location and friendly staff."

8.0

Good location and lovely staff. Very friendly. Lovely and warm and plenty of tea and coffee in the room. Comfortable clean bed. Very good breakfast.

Needed to be refurbished. A bit tired. Shower cubicle could have done with a bit of bleach to get rid of black marks.

"Ok stay"

6.0

Lovely pub and friendly owners, lovely breakfast and it was clean, only a 5 or so min walk to the centre.

The bed was lumpy, old, no lampshade on the light, it is very dated. Booking.com says no extra charge for pets but they said it was £10 extra per dog. You park on a shopfront at your own risk, the shop owners are not happy that the hotel advises people to park there!

"A friendly, reasonably-priced base to explore the surrounding area."

8.0

We had 2 evening meals and both times the food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The inn was convenient for walking into the town centre. Used by locals which is always a good sign.
