Beautiful little boutique hotel, within walking distance to the market and lake

Sound proofing can be improved. Air conditioning (cooling) was not working during Winter/spring time, requiring windows to be opened. sound from the street, impacting quality of rest. Room also got warm during the day without air conditioner

"A new hotel at a good location, beautiful reception hall"

It's a new hotel (1 year+), great location situated just opposite Golf Valley Hotel. We had a few issues during our stay, when we checking out, GM Mr Fung approached us, apologised and explained the issues to us in a professional way. He also offered to send us to the airport complimentary from the Hotel for the inconveniences. Thank you GM Mr Fung

The issues are quite major ones which I won'y explain in details. I would give the rating of 2 to the hotel if not for GM Mr Fung interventions and explanations. Thank you again GM Mr Fung As it is a new hotel, the operation is not smooth as expected, will get better over time. The decor is a bit weird to my taste, the room door key and card combination is weird too, they need to work on that.

great location The hotel is designed and built with great aesthetic. I stayed in one bedroom chalet and the room looks really retro with a nice rocking chair

I completely echo with the last guest review about the lack of hospitality in the hotel. Staff at front desk were mostly not helpful and did not look welcoming at all when I checked in. They were impatient and responded with rude attitude when I asked about travel info. Staff including cleaners and waiters should at least be trained with basic English as I had a really hard time to communicate with them about room cleaning and in the restaurant. There were times that they just awkwardly smiled and left after hearing me speaking English. Cleanliness and hygiene is another concern. I originally stayed in another chalet on the top floor and I found so many ants on the toilet seat and not only one time. That really grossed me out. Floor was also not properly cleaned as I could still find many hairs on it. But staff was helpful in this case and moved me to another room. But overall, the hotel did not worth the money I paid for at all.

"Lack of service in the well-decorated setting"

The hotel is undoubtedly beautiful, decorated in a sophisticated manner, carefully designed to the tiniest details. I was very, very impressed. During my extensive traveling experience, I have seen such design quality a very few times. Genuine esthetical pleasure from both the room and shared facilities.

Unfortunately, besides the design, I wasn't impressed by the rest of the experience. First, the reception personnel was not welcoming and somewhat unfriendly. The check-in process was a mess, and they generally were not very supportive. Breakfast was just okay, nothing exceptional. Besides, most personnel (including reception and F&B) didn't speak English well enough, so I struggled to communicate, including at the restaurant during the breakfast.
