Wayfinder Bishop

The serenity of the creek and the sauna and pool were great we needed it after the 10 hour drive from Moab, Utah. The free breakfast in the morning was nice to have as a parting gift.

This is a former BW property that we have had stayed at and enjoyed on a number of occasions. The Wayfinder is pricy and I was skeptical but it exceeded my exportations. Make sure you book a room on the creek side which is beautifully landscaped and has communal seating areas complete with outdoor fire features. The property is atmospheric and well appointed.

Our stay was amazing! Everything was clean, the staff was friendly and the complimentary breakfast was the perfect start to the day. The hotel is in a good spot for you to make day trips to some of the beautiful hikes in the area. If you are looking for a quiet little stay in the Eastern Sierras, this is the place to go.

We loved this hotel! It was a great stop on our road trip along the Eastern Sierras. It was conveniently located right in downtown and next door to the famous Erick Schats bakery. We loved staying on the creekside (recommend requesting this) -- it was lovely having a balcony along the babbling creek and watching the birds. We had pizza and drinks at the hotel bar/restaurant which was great. Room was clean, big, and the bed was very comfortable. If we're ever back in Bishop, we would definitely stay again!

The staff were great, room, bar and food were good, but the pool was closed for maintenance. This was the main reason we booked a room here in advance, as we were going to camp in Death Valley for a week, knew the temps would be high, and the Wayfarer Bishop had a great looking pool. Nothing in the confirming emails about this, and no mention when we checked in. We didn't know about it until we went to the pool and saw the caution tape. Plus, no TV remote and the one we borrowed from the front desk did not work. I tried multiple times (email, messages at the front desk with my contact info) to reach management to see if we could get some sort of small refund, but never received a reply. Great hotel, but you better hope there are no issues that require a response from management.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The sheets are extremely high-quality and well laundered. The hot water shower was good pressure, and very hot. Some hotels that I have stayed at, the hot water is lukewarm, at best. Lovely dining area of the main reception. Beautiful Wood finish Main lobby. Will definitely be coming back again.

Breakfast was good, the hot tub and sauna were nice. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The place looks amazing as well. Great place that is centrally located.

The bed just didn't do it for me.

Everything about the hotel is beautiful, the lobby, bar/lounge, dining room, guest room and landscaping were all so nice. The room was large with several chairs, the bathroom had two sinks (yay!) and we had a nice little patio outside. We loved almost everything about the Wayfinder. The only problem was, we were on the first floor and the person above us was making so much noise that the walls were shaking from his walking around. It lasted for over an hour as we were trying to sleep. We will definitely book upstairs rooms to avoid that in the future.
