Ayana Beach

The grounds of the boutique hotel were exquisite and opened to the beach. The rooms were so fancy (obviously designed with a Western eye and for Western comfort) and extraordinarily clean. We ordered food, which was delicious. The hosts helped us arrange transport to the airport and even got up with us at 2 am to see us off. The sea is quite nice at the location with tide pools and beach areas. We swam and snorkeled! A great place to stay onarrival or departure from Sri Lanka, about 20-30 minutes from the airport.

Quite place near the ocean to relax after a long flight to Colombo. Smiling staff and delicious food! highly recommend!

The temperature of water was not hot enough.

Ayana Beach Boutique met my expectation of cleanliness and comfort from the room to the beach. I brought my own food as I have dietary restrictions and also my herbal medicines. The room didn’t have fridge but they let me put my things in their fridge. They brought to my room and reminded me of my medicine so I can take it on time. They also offered a plate and cutlery for my food. They’ve been nice, polite and very helpful in so many ways. The place is quiet and so serene that you can totally relax and disconnect on a budget. Beautiful view of the sunset and the sea, lovely sound of the waves and fresh air…I will definitely go back when I get the chance.

What I didn’t like is outside the area of the boutique. Some parts of the beach were dirty. But I happily stayed in the area of Ayana. I have all I need in there.

Great place to rest after intense trip close to the airport. Great staff. Helped with transfer arrangement. Delicious kitchen. Good wi-fi. Nice view over the ocean.

No bad things to mention. Sadly, not the swimming destination.
