Auberge et Hostellerie Paysanne

In a quiet countryside village. Traditional Alsatian ambiance. Comfortable modern room. Free parking. A good breakfast for 12€ Supplement served in a lovely breakfast room. The restaurant was closed the day we stayed. The kitchen is professionally set-up. The morning that we departed a cook was in the process of baking homemade pies which is unusual these days and likely provides a hint that we missed out on some delicious cooking.

Unable to assess WIFI from our upstairs room. Other than the WIFI there was nothing that we didn’t like but as I mentioned the Auberge is located in a small village with no other shops. if the restaurant is closed the nearest restaurant is 6 km and two others at 12 km. Driving the small roads for the evening meal is somewhat challenging not only because of darkness but also because the roads become quite busy as workers return home from jobs in Switzerland. I would stay in this Auberge again but on days when the restaurant was open.

The welcoming atmosphere. Simple yet nice room with comfy bed. Renovated bathroom with great shower. Superb restaurant higly recommandated to have dinner! Great for hiking and ideal to explore the region, near the Swiss border. A welcoming place for people who appreciate a warm atmosphere and calm surroundings.

The facility was decently clean

The breakfast is the most minimal breakfast with the highest price we have ever seen. The wifi is so terrible it doesn't reach the rooms and only works in the lobby. They charge per pet, per night here so that was abnormally expensive and was only told of that at checkout. So I would suggest a different hotel if you are traveling with fur babies.

The hotel restaurant is exquisite, and has an excellent service.

The room was very clean. The location was good.

The bed too small for 2 people.
