Station Hotel

We selected this off Booking.com and it was in the right location for us to get to the Railway Station, it is only a short walk. The Hotel is charming and looks like it has been recently renovated it parts. Pam who checked us in was friendly and very helpful. The rooms are quite spacious and have everything you need. We had a room with two single beds, shower/bath and the room was cosy and was well heated. The WiFi is quite good and the room has a TV. Only a short walk to the city and shopping, restaurants and more public transport options. We ate breakfast here which was included, it was very nice and the coffee was excellent. We also are dinner here, the menu is quite eclectic, with many local items on the menu. We enjoyed the Venison casserole, the garlic crumbed chicken as well as the soup, the goats cheese and fish cakes. The bar has a lot of local beers whiskies and a good wine selection. I will definitely stay here again.

Do not go here. Worst hotel I have stayed in for a long time. We were put in an apartment beside hotel. It was grubby and smelly, it reminded me of student accommodation! Breakfast was atrocious. Very poor quality and very small portions- Breakfast served on a side plate! Definitely would not go back.

Great location, central but quiet. We booked a studio but got a whole appartment instead as a free upgrade which was much appreciated. Great breakfast with a good choice of cold and warm options.
