Station Hotel

We booked this hotel last minute as we were staying in a pod by the sea during Storm Amy so needed somewhere a bit less likely to blow away. On the outside and the pictures, it looks nice. However our room was something from the 70s. We were in one of the rooms by the car park. Whilst it was spacious, it wasn’t particularly clean.. the sofa had stains all over it. The breakfast wasn’t particularly tasteful either. The staff however were very friendly and made a fuss of our dog.

The staff were friendly and the room was bright and warm with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was very good. The location of the hotel in town with free parking was perfect.

The room was unhygienic in some places. In particular the skirting boards were dusty and stained throughout but especially in the bathroom. They needed a good scrub with anti bacterial spray. The wall next to the sink was stained with previous occupants toothpaste which was very off-putting. The kettle in the room was old and the element was black with limescale. It should probably be replaced. The room was fine but I think the bathroom needs to be updated.

Beautiful Building in a great location with plenty of parking. Extremely friendly & helpful staff. Great food with good choices. Breakfast was excellent.

I cannot find any fault with this venue, however there wasn’t any guidance in our room regarding WiFi & breakfast times so we missed breakfast on our first morning & had to ask a member of staff the WiFi code.

Good location, with friendly staff. Dinner was lovely.

The room was quite basic but everything was clean except the carpet was stained and a bit smelly. Overdue for a steam clean or replacement. The young waitress did not seem to understand our questions about the menu.

We took our dog and were given a coach house ground floor room which was perfect. The location is great for walking into town and the beach. Food was very good and the staff were great.

Staff were superb. Rooms clean and well serviced. Dinner and breakfast A1 .

Pillows, flat as a pancake , no body . Spoilt the sleeping experience
