It was a good location and the room was clean.

Some noise from the street in the early morning

We had a short stay, but the big and comfy bed was exactly what we needed after a long day. The restaurant downstairs was under construction, so we had breakfast in the room — and we totally didn’t mind that! It was also very tasty. Thank you for the very friendly approach and warm welcome to Zanzibar.

The room was a bit small with limited space, but ok for one night.

Great location, very central. It's a really interesting building, loads of history. Lovely host, very informative. There was a problem with the air-conditioning unit in our room, and they changed our room instantly, with no question. Nice breakfast, not the biggest of choices, but what we had was very nice.

Fantastic location little hidden in the less touristy street of the old Stone Town, Aurelia is set in an atmospheric old building. We had a charming and spacious room on the top floor with balcony overlooking the rooftops. You can hear people on the street and the mosque prayers which add the experience. The four poster bed was huge and comfortable and we slept well. Big bathroom and the cold water was sufficient. Friendly staff and breakfast included in the price. All in all good value. We’d stay again, thank you!

The air conditioning unit was leaking water onto the floor. But we used the fan only at night, which is more comfortable anyway.

This hotel is in a great location, very central to the main attraction and city centre. The staff was really nice and helpful during our visit.

On the first day, in the morning we did not have water for about 20 min which was not a big deal for us because we did not have any plans, but if we did have plans that would have been an issue. Breakfast was ok, very small and not a lot of choice, sometimes you have to ask for stuff (like milk or butter) as it is not displayed.
