Lovely staff, excellent beachfront location. Pub has a nice beer garden, a good selection of drinks. Food was good too.

Carpark can fill up quick, but the staff helped accommodate me.

Location was great, super friendly staff, comfortable bed and nice views out onto the promenade.

We arrived early as it says when booking as “rooms are usually ready much earlier” according to the company upon booking. We was given the key and told it would probably be ready around 2pm which was fine as we headed out for a drink down the road. We went to the room at 2:58pm and it wasn’t touched at all from the previous guests. We then got moved to another room which was fine but I wouldn’t recommend going much earlier as they suggest as from our experience you may be waiting hours anyway. We booked a table for the evening as breakfast was fully booked apparently so we wanted to try the food there. I ordered a spaghetti carbonara with halloumi fries and my partner ordered ribeye steak with peppercorn sauce. The food was extremely bang average for what you pay. The steak we asked for medium rare, it came out well done but my partner is a little anxious about returning it when she would eat it anyway she said. My carbonara came with sliced onions in it. This wasn’t stated on the menu and never in my life have I witnessed anyone put onions in a carbonara, I’ve travelled all around the world and been to even Italy many of times and this isn’t a thing. (I hate onions if you can’t tell already) but my partner was willing to swap dishes to prevent any awkwardness in the restaurant. The bar staff was amazing although I could tell two of the girls there were young and a little nervous so this also played a factor when deciding not to complain at the time and create a fuss.

Lovely location with a beautiful view from 2 windows. Quiet and peaceful. Comfortable bed.

A lot of stairs to carry a suitcase (but the staff carried it up for me thankfully). Room was a little bit tired but the view made up for it. The internet didn't work in my room so I had to sit in the hallway or downstairs in the bar to do my travel plans.

Good location on the sea front. Lots of character and a nice pub.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer ganz oben mit seitlichem Blick auf die Bucht. Das war sehr schön. Das Zimmer hatte ein angenehmes Bett und ein ordentliches Bad. Das Frühstück, typisch britisch, war sehr gut und wir haben auch einmal dort zu Abend gegessen, was eine sehr gute Qualität hatte. Vor allem aber waren alle Angestellten dort außergewöhnlich freundlich, das ist uns wirklich aufgefallen. Ein sehr schönes Quartier direkt an der Bucht und schön für Spaziergänge. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis absolut in Ordnung.

Das Wlan-Signal war sehr schwach, aber sonst war alles gut.

We booked last minute and were actively discouraged from booking a table , we were told we had to be there by 7 which we were. The evening meal was poor quality and cold apart from the soup starter which was delicious . Back areas were dirty ,rooms are tardy and dull and the whole place needs a revamp .
