Hotel Kratis

The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was standard with good quality and great coffee, and the waiter gentleman (and the hotel staff in general) was very friendly. The AC kept the room very warm and cosy. A very stable wifi also available. The hotel is in a very accessible place, both by car and on foot. Parking available in front of the hotel (3-4 places) and 100 meters away (a free public parking). Kratovo is a small town that definitely stole my heart!

My room, 101, was right at the stairwell leading to the lobby and restaurant where loud music is playing which penetrates the non-soundproof door, keeping me awake. I couldn't call the staff since they don't speak a lick of English. I gave up and used ear plugs. Perhaps ask for a room further away from the commotion (see photo of floor plan). The rooms are odd. A double bed with two really narrow single blankets (90cm) instead of a double blanket. A shower with a shower head holder at waist level, so you have to hold the shower head above you throughout. The towel rack is so far away from the shower, you need two floor towels to cover the distance (which luckily they provided). Shower curtains that do very little to keep the water in. An entrance lamp and power outlet that don't work. A local phone book... from 2012. Odd.

This hotel is in a great location in a beautiful town. The staff are super friendly and helpful. There is free private parking in a gated area right in front of the building. The room we had was small but cozy. The breakfast in the morning is good (with great coffee!) and the restaurant is great for dinner or just having a beer in the bar. Everything in town is within easy walking distance. This is a good value for the price.

Some of the facilities need attention, such as we had two electrical outlets which didn't work, the remote for the TV didn't work, and the shower had mold around the bottom. Nothing major, just needs attention.

This was a completely random booking, and I had no expectations of either Kratovo (worth a couple of nights/great location) or the property. I liked both, and found this to be a most pleasant base in an interesting region of Macedonia.

Macedonian children and birthday parties are feral, and even wilder as the evening progresses. This is the second place I have run into (or been run past by) screaming children into the evening, with parents simply unconcerned ... all fine and dandy if they are yours, but if you are trying to have a dinner alone, their shrieking gets tiresome. Particularly by 8.30pm.

Big and comfortable rooms. Good value of money - very cheap restaurant and ordered food and cocktails always was delicious.

Some issue with tv but they fix it. Very poor choice of food for breakfast and breakfast menu looks very dirty. You can feel there old fashion vibe.

The location of this hotel is superb - positioned as it is right in the middle of the small town. Parking is available in the public park nearby, and there is a wonderful restaurant almost directly across the road (on the trail to the town outlook). We were able to walk everywhere we wanted from the hotel, including up the valley to the old town. The included breakfast had some nice options, and while we found our room to be a bit dark, it was clean and comfortable. This is definitely a good choice to stay at in Kratovo!

The hotel has a lovely terrace with the view of the city. It is centrally located and there is a public parking lot just around the corner.

The twin room was quite small. The breakfast was good but could have been slightly bigger/with more ingrediences.
