Hotel Cozumel Costa Brava

The location was perfectly close to everything. Very calm area during the day time. Hammocks in the garden for reading and a gardener was onsite continuously maintaining the yard, we saw some baby iguanas also. AC and a fridge in the room. We also got to check in earlier which we appreciated. We were very happy with our stay overall and would recommend staying here if visiting the island for a short period of time. ☺️

Noise from the nearby bars could be heard late in the night but it was easy to sleep through it at the same time. The door is locked just by closing it, personally would have preferred it to be locked alternatively as it gave the impression it could be forced open and the main entrance gates are open/unlocked all the time. Maybe someone is watching the entrance all the time from another room, not sure as we just saw the gardener during our stay.

Located close to ferry and grocery store. There is an air conditioner that you can turn on once you finally get into your boiling hot humid room without windows that close properly.

They are not prepared for your arrival, even after you message them to tell them your ferry time. Your fan will not work, and your room will be boiling hot with no air conditioner on. The front office will be even hotter, and there will not be an operating fan or an air conditioner. The lady will be clueless about what room you should be issued in their hotel. It will take over 1/2 hr to check in as they make you fill in all the info that you already did on booking and the lady will be calling the owner to figure out the room and where the key is. You will not have potable water. Your mini refrigerator will be unplugged and will not close properly. The room is ultra dumpy and has wooden slats instead of wood. They will refuse to give you extra towels for the beach. The owner speaks no English and wants cash. There are wires hanging from the ceiling outside your room where a light presumably once was. The garden is also in a state of disrepair with dilapidated, non-functional lamps. There is no room service and no planning assistance, and no staff to be found. So, do not believe these items in their facility description. The front gate is open, and you'll get one key to the front door, which is extremely rudimentary. No safe and a very easy room to break into! ALSO there is no extra toilet paper and chances are they won't give you a spare. They will also tell you there are no cups or other supplies to use for the microwave standing in the hallway.

It was very close to the ferry. The main areas were walking distance. I rented a two wheeler and drove around so it wasn’t inconvenient for me. The elderly lady who manages this hotel is very kind. Very comfortable room and a cute hotel. Nice people. Just be sure that you carry cash to pay coz they don’t accept credit cards.

Location was great. Easy walking distance to restaurants and dive shops. Right on the oceanfront

Dirty. Uncomfortable bed. Plastic mattress cover that bunched up in the night. TERRIBLE smell of sewerage when showering - literal eye watering stuff! Zero water pressure to shower/brush teeth.

Everything was good and the staff worked with me to pay later since I had no chance to covert money the moment I found out they take cash only.

CASH ONLY, This should definitely be on the web site and made obvious, not hidden information somewhere. Taxes were $20 additional $. This also should be made obvious not a n "Oh Bye The Way" you owe $20 more $$.
