"Wonderful Family Run Boutique Hotel near Fundao. Peaceful and Meticulous!"

Please note, that this is a family run boutique hotel. The owners and Son are lovely. Only the owners Son speaks english. The owner does utilize a translator for communication. I had my own so it was very easy to communicate with them. They allow you to roam around the property, around the pool, olive trees, and towards the chickens/rosters which are free range. The hotel is spotless, and they clean your room daily to perfection. The daily breakfast was delicious - fresh and always on time.

The rooms were large with great views of the area. However, the area during October does have flies, so if you are not use to that, it might be irritating. They make sure to maintain them when they keep the doors/windows open. The room does not have an iron/iron board. It does not have a coffee/tea maker. There are not restuarants close to the hotel. You will need a rental car to go to Fundao or Castelo Branco - 8 - 20 minutes away. The onsite restaurant is not open daily. You will have to coordinate with the owners if you want dinner.

Peaceful location. Great breakfast made with local produce. Cleanliness.

There was no bar fridge or tea and coffee making facilities. Only 1 chair to a room. No balcony or private outdoor seating.

"Perfect Gem near Fundão"

This place is an absolute gem! The owners are extremely kind and friendly. The surroundings are very peaceful and quiet. Perfect to relax and enjoy the countryside. The breakfast is exceptional and diverse. There is free parking on site and a swimming pool open during the summer months. I would recommend this place and hopefully return.
