Quinta das Oliveiras Turismo Rural is a very nice small hotel. The rooms are well appointed and the bathrooms are good. We stayed only for a couple of night out of season and were the only guests and were very well attended to. The Breakfast was particularly good and plentiful and the owner (non-English speaking) and his son (English speaking) were very pleasant.

We were disappointed that we couldn't eat at the hotel in the first night due to misunderstanding our request for details about menu -- and therefore not being able to book in advance (a necessity) and the second night due to personal indisposition of the 'chef', so we had to east elsewhere which was less convenient. We would recommend that better information about 'menu' options and 'prices' be provided for future guests. We stayed out of season, and it was a cold day/night. The room would have benefited from having the heating turned on earlier as it remained cold for some time before it really was comfortable enough on the first night. These recommendations apart, the hotel room, the breakfast and the owners were all excellent and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Quinta das Oliveiras or visit again some time.

The hotel is located in a quiet area surrounded by grape vines. Breakfast was prepared from scratch and it was delicious.

I like everything about this hotel.

Fantastic breakfast and a great halfway stopover between Santander and the Algarve. Evening meal superb.
