The property had a ton of character and the staff was amazing. The room was way larger than expected with everything we needed to make our stay outstanding.

The staff was super friendly. It felt very familiar. Everything was clean and the breakfast amazing. The garden and pool area are great to relax after a long day of walking around Funchal.

The building has great character and there is lots of green space in the garden. The pool was a good size. Rooms were clean and staff were friendly!

The bathroom in the room felt a bit dated but only a minor issue.

Can get quite loud due to the construction work going on around the area but this likely in most places in Funchal. Breakfast was nice but very similar everyday.

Location was brilliant, everything was within walking distance and you were near the front so not too many hills. Breakfast was lovely. Hotel was very picturesque.

The room was a little disappointing as we didn’t have a balcony - others did - this was only a minor let down. No aircon - be warned it gets hot! But other than that spotless.

This hotel was so quiet and relaxing. We had the pool to ourselves most of the time and there was loads of sunbeds and chairs and beach towels were provided. The staff were all so lovely and welcoming and were available to answer any questions. Room 11 was really big and clean and the beds were so comfortable with a thin duvet which was great. Overall I would recommend this hotel it was near a number of restaurant's and shops and you can get picked up from there for all tours on get your guide.

One towel had stains Only one wall socked on each side of the bed (lamp needed to be unplugged if needed e.g. to charge the phone)

This property had loads of character! It felt tucked away from the otherwise heavily touristic area west of Funchal. The breakfast was really nice and varied and the rooms were very generous in size.

There was a foul smell in the bathroom that never went away, the only thing that we didn’t like about staying here
