The lady at the breakfast with shorter dark hair and glssess (sorry for not recalling her name) was very kind.

I put a note about noise while I was booking, kindly asking to be as far as possible from sources of noises. The room was facing the enterance of the hotel at the ground floor, facing an active construction site (till 17:00 on a Saturday), plus there was another construction going on in the hotel itself. They couldn’t change the room. We had to endure the noise during the stay. They could have inform about the constructions while booking, but they didn’t say a word. Really unfair, zero compansation except a “sorry we can’t do anything”. We could have chosen another hotel but we got stuck with agressive double construction noise and people chatting right in front of our window while we were trying to rest. Disapponting.

The exec rooms with Aircon are excellent. Staff very friendly.

Wide variety of food at breakfast. Excellent location with friendly local bar and good restaurants nearby, handy supermarket nearby, pleasant 20 minute walk to Funchal centre. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel built in traditional style. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools were very nice to swim in after a hot day sightseeing.

Fridge in our room could have been a little larger.

It’s a gem with fabulous garden and an outstanding indoor pool. Calm and collected
