Green bay hotel Ha Long

The young man at the front desk "Son" was very pleasant. His spoken English was not the best but he was tech savvy and could easily translate any written English and text messages. I was only in Halong Bay enroute to Mong Cai. Son gave me a wake up call and then a 10 minute warning that the shuttle bus was arriving early. He also spoke to the driver to make sure that we would be dropped off right at the border gate. Very low cost for the room.

The elevator made a very LOUD "ding dong" and could be heard on every floor. Please tone down the speaker. A complimentary coffee sachet in the room would have been nice because Halong Bay is a ghost town with minimal open shops. No mention of the services offered by the hotel. Does the hotel sell instant noodles? A simple price list in the room would help.

A decent place for the price.

Cozy and clean room, the hotel is located in a chillax area near the beach. The owners are very helpful. Highly recommended.

Facilities are a bit old

I gave it a 10 because … would we come back , the answer is yes. It has its faults but the room was clean, bed was comfortable . It was the cheapest accommodation we have stayed in Vietnam and presented excellent value. The nearby beach is beautiful. Staff friendly, Communication easiest through whatsapp and google translate. If you don’t like walking there are many buggies ( big golf carts) to pick you up.

It is about 15 mins walk from restaurants, but not a problem for is. The whole area is a bit of a ghost town but with an eerie charm

Very modern and clean, the staff are very lovely! Get way more than expected for the cost, shame about how quiet it is.

The area is a ghost town, we had to order food for delivery which also took a while to come. Had a local who neighboured us who played music very loudly, nothing down to the hotel though.
