The Royal Hotel Cromarty

Our breakfast was a Scottish fry and was a good start to our day. we had dinner in the hotel one evening and it was a really good meal, one of the best meals we had during our two week stay in Scotland

Location and view were stunning. Bedroom was very nice. Extremely comfy bed. View from my window was breathtaking. Shower was superb. Hot and powerful.

A little bit pricey for me but loved staying there so definitely a 5 star rating

Breakfast was too expensive so we didn't book it.

Couldn’t use the shower over 2 days because of low water pressure, states this on a laminated note on wall in bathroom ( not in description when booking), slanted roofs throughout even over the bath prevented from standing up. Floors throughout all uneven and slanted, uncomfortable beds could feel metal springs through thin hard mattress , grubby paintwork, split in room entrance door, wallpaper peeling off walls. Says in description it is refurbished, it is not to a refurbished standard I would have expected. Not suitable for less mobile or if unsteady on feet.

Lovely hotel right on the harbour. Our room was great and really big. The staff were very helpful. We ate dinner there which was also very nice.

Everything was great.
