The location was excellent.

When checking in I was told that I shouldn't have been able to book that room for 1 night then told that they have to pay booking.com when I book through them. The person didn't seem very happy that I was there. Perhaps they should have messaged me about this when I originally booked it rather than making me feel like I was putting them out when I arrived. There were 4 dead flies on the bathroom floor and another couple on the windowsills. There was something in the kitchen sink that I had to clean before use. The shower was crammed under the sloping ceiling so as a tall person I couldn't actually stand in the shower to wash. I'm sure it would be fine for folk under 5 foot 6ish though. Just disappointed I was made to feel so unwelcome at the check in and wasn't asked how my stay was when I checked out either so wasn't able to raise these issues while I was there as it was a different person that checked me out.

Location was great for us to get away for the nigh

Staff were disappointing we booked a room with a shower as I can’t get in and out of a bath due to being about to have a hip replacement. When we questioned the fact that the room didn’t have a shower we were offered a different room but only after a lecture about how it is better to book direct rather than through booking/cpm. £17 for breakfast is more than I have paid in some London Hotels! Claimed not to recognise the text in the description of the room - well it stated that we had a king room with a sea view which they got right so someone had to have written the description. £145 for the room out of season is way overcharged.

It was dog friendly even though we didn’t have a dog. It was on the shore, and close to my friends. Decorated lovely and cosy.

There was no information pack, about hotel, local area, places to visit etc and didn’t know about meal times, and booking them. Room was lovely but only 3 coat hangers, no bottled water, and would’ve liked to open a window, but that’s me with hot flushes not for everyone.
